American IT Workers: Unemployable?
Jun 24th
I saw this article today: Top Indian CEO: Most American Grads Are ‘Unemployable’
Vineet Nayar, the CEO of HCL Technologies, one of India’s biggest IT services vendors, states that American IT graduates are focused on making top dollar, but are not willing to learn the basic principles and methodologies that are used to manage IT on their own, resulting in higher training costs to his company. The article goes on to explain that this is not only his opinion, but similar opinions are held by the CEO’s of top American IT firms, such as Cisco’s John Chambers. Is this a failure of our education system, or is it a cultural expectation that has been set by the extreme success stories of companies such as Cisco, Microsoft, Intel, Google, etc?

Online Distraction
Jun 22nd
I’ve noticed my attention span dwindling over the last couple of years. I think this is mostly due to the amount of time I spend surfing the web, not to mention the amount of content (Facebook, Hulu, etc.) has been made available online at a rapidly expanding rate. What drains your attention the most?
